Job Description
One of our clients operating in the IT industry is looking for an IT Support Specialist to provide hardware and software end-user support to their varied clients around the island. The ideal candidate has to be fully committed and a trustworthy individual, mature to handle different types of clients and situations on his/her own.
Main responsibilities
- Assisting users with hardware and software problems;
- Implementing, maintaining and managing desktop computers, laptops, printers and other hardware;
- Manage and escalate user queries;
- Installation and maintenance of servers;
- Assisting mostly physically at clients’ offices and also remotely, according to needs at hand.
Requirements:
- 1+ year experience in a similar role
- Team player who is ambitious and motivated
- Excellent interpersonal skills and patience working with others
- Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Good level of communication in English and preferably in Maltese
- Ability to lift and move equipment as required
- Valid driving license
- Clean police conduct
Technical requirements:
- Experience in setting up and maintenance of Microsoft 365 products
- Administrative knowledge and experience of Microsoft back-office products including (but not limited to) Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022, Windows 10 / 11, Active Directory, Exchange Servers, understanding of Networking Directory Services, Microsoft ADS, LDAP, TCP/IP DHCP, DNS, WINS. Knowledge on MAC OS would be an asset
- Hands on experience in desk side troubleshooting (PCs, Printers, Mobiles and Tablets), Cat5e/Cat6 cable termination & testing
- Application support experience of MS Office / MS Office 365, Sage, Corporate Anti-Virus, Remote Desktop Support, setup of VPNs, Corporate Backup Software
- Knowledge of Virtual environments mainly Hyper-V
- Knowledge of Mikrotiks and VoIP systems would be an asset
