Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to the team members in a wide range of technical issues ensuring quick and effective choices
  • Improve the system engineering area by owning the D-FMEA and P-FMEA
  • Coordinate cost-out initiatives ensuring a continuous flow of innovative ideas
  • Develop the team technical leadership competences and autonomy by mentoring the area functional lead and the junior staff
  • Support the submodule owner with review and sign-off of technical deliverables
  • Support the submodule owner by coordinating various business critical tasks. i.e.: client meetings, CIM cases resolution, suppliers’ initiatives, stakeholder’s communication

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Structural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • Experience in the design of steel structures, e.g. dynamically loaded structures
  • Experience in structural assessments using FEA (preferably Ansys)
  • Documented history of technical leadership in projects
  • People leadership experience

 

Competencies

We see the ideal candidate possessing the following competencies and personality:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of FEA software (preferably Ansys)
  • Experienced in System Engineering (D-FMEA and P-FMEA processes)
  • Design experience of large steel structures including certification with relevant entities, i.e.: DNV / TUV
  • Deep knowledge of design guidelines i.e.: Eurocodes, IEC, IIW
  • Knowledge on following areas: fatigue analysis, dynamic Analysis, weld assessment and bolted joints design
  • Experience with design of Hubs for wind turbines or other cast iron components
  • Ability to delegate and create results through others
  • Be able to take decisions effectively with incomplete data
  • Experienced in implementing large projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Able to understand the impact that a scope change will have on the project
  • Should exhibit ‘Coordinating from front’ behavior
  • Good communication skills which enable you to convey complex problems to a wide range of stakeholders
